Forbidden Forest is a Bevy prototype made with Bevy and Rust. It's a game about surviving a night in the Forbidden Forest!

You got lost in your journey and are now stuck what seems to be an endless and dark forest. As you approach the clearing you see the shadows become alive and start coming at you! Can you use your weapons to stay alive the the night?

Game requires WebGPU support on your browser so make sure you have it before you try it. Tested on latest Chrome (Windows x64) without no issues. Works also on Edge (Windows x64). Safari on MacOS works as well if you have the latest browser. Firefox doesn't work unless you have nightly builds which currently has the support.

Game should have content for 5 min game play. There are 3 heroes you can chose from and currently game has 5 different weapons. (News are already in the plans. Read the devlogs!)

I would be extremely happy if you provided some feedback. I have started to put some polish into the game and I am listening to the feedback. The first update is already out with some improvement ideas from the community!

Great job. I love how easy it is to get into but how hard it is to put down. Excellent work.

Thank you for your kind words!

passed the 5 minutes in a windows pc with Opera gx WebGL2(both have it); but at first one firefox did not run (yet default is webgpu:disabled) Firefox: panicked at C:\Users\Janne.cargo\registry\src\index.crates.io\bevy_render-0.14.0\src\lib.rs:293:42: Failed to create wgpu surface: CreateSurfaceError { inner: Hal(FailedToCreateSurfaceForAnyBackend({})) }

Great! Thank you for trying the game out! Yes, Firefox apparently requires nightly build to be able to run the WebGPU.

Any feedback about the game? Any suggestions how to improve it?

Thank you again for playing it!

yes, but you have to equal checks of our games and feedback, here is yours now: (if err use WebGL2? And give to the user a dialog with options, after all 5 minutes game play) Your have successfully completed {rounds} round/s of 5 minutes:

 [Continue]       {exit]

{[optional extension: or at start dropdown 3 or 5 minutes]}
