Version 0.1 released!

Hello everyone,

I have finally released the first version of my new prototype I call "Swipe It!".

I have worked with this prototype occasionally when I have had the time and now I feel the first playable demo is ready for the release. The game is still a prototype and I have some ideas which I want to do and things I like to improve, but as you know, everything takes time and since I am full time employed already, time is the luxury I do not have. So, I would also like to consider this as a question for the players. Would you be interested to play this game if this would get more levels and features? If so, would you be willing pay for the game? What kind of features you think this game should have?

Please, leave a comment below and I will get back to you!

About the game:

Game is very simple and casual. You control the discs rotating above the level and goal is to swipe over the capsules / pods to switch the color. Switching all the colors complete a stage.  You have only one input which is a mouse click which anchors the rotating disc and switches the disc rotating. By switching the rotating disc you control the player and anything player touches switches the capsule / pod color. Be careful though, you need be anchored to the ground so be mindful when you switch the anchor.

This demo prototype has 1 level which consists of 5 stages. Can you complete them all?

Current known issues:

- None.

Things that I am going to try out in some near future:

  1. Some sort of power up(s). Possibly a faster rotator speed, longer rod between the discs for larger area covered, etc. Power ups could be spawned to the level with some logic.
  2. Possible "almost a miss" calls. If player hits the close edge of the ground, indicate player with feedback like "Close one!" or "Careful!"
  3. Possibly more sounds. At least the player death could use some sounds. Probably requires a bit of trying things out.
  4. Rework a little bit on the particle systems. (They are currently not what I was thinking, but works for now)
  5. If players are interested then, more levels.
  6. Depending on the 5. I have a level editor which could use some improvements which can be done if more levels will be authored.

That's all for now, if you have any comments, please post them below and I will get back to you!

Cheers!
